Pastor’s comment inappropriate

I would like to say to all of the families and friends of those who died at the hands of Israel Keyes: There is nothing that anyone can say or do to replace your loss. My heart truly goes out to all of you.

I also feel sadness for Keyes’ family. What really irked me was the comment made by Keyes’ pastor. He stated that Keyes “… was in a place of eternal torment.” Pastor Jake Gardner should be familiar with the Gospel. According to Luke 23:43, Jesus said to the criminal on his right, “…Truly I say to you, Today you shall be with Me in paradise.” This is a man who repented during the final minutes of his life.

Unless Pastor Garner was there during Keyes’ final moments, he had no right to make those comments.
