Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers has represented Washington’s 5th District with excellence, and I am proud to vote for her for another term in Congress.

Cathy is a friend to small business and the private sector. She understands that we need less government burdens on business to allow the private sector to flourish and create jobs.

Cathy supports a fairer tax code and fiscal responsibility. She knows that raising taxes on job creators is not the solution to our national debt or rising unemployment.

She champions a balanced budget amendment, a line-item veto and a constitutional amendment to limit government spending to 20 percent of the U.S. economy.

Cathy recognizes that Obamacare is an expensive, bloated bill that does nothing to rein in costs, and must be repealed.

Cathy understands the need for a strong military and is committed to Fairchild Air Force Base, our region’s largest employer.

She’s not afraid to stand up against the media-fueled myth of a so-called war on women.

Finally, Cathy is a woman of faith who has turned the challenges of having a child with Down syndrome into opportunities to help parents of children with disabilities.

I am proud to have her continue representing us in Congress.
