The commentary from Sen. Andy Billig is an excellent summary of what it takes for children to be successful in school. The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program is a premier preschool program dedicated to all aspects for healthy children. It encourages creative experiences in the classroom that foster self-esteem, up-to-date well child and dental exams, nutritional meals, and partnering with parents to make the best school experience for their children.

Research has shown that if children are struggling in first grade, they will continue throughout school. Could dedicated volunteers for these first-grade students be part of an equation for success? Reading and math could be a focus as well as finishing homework in school. Let’s minimize some of the stress a child may have in school and home.

The 3rd Legislative District is fortunate to have Billig and his focus on education. He can make a difference for our children.
