More and more veterans are returning to Spokane with health and mental issues. While the Veterans Administration is promising improvements, I believe every veteran needs an advocate to help them with disability claims, transportation, living arrangements, medical advice and camaraderie. They need someone they can talk to, relate to and trust.

Many of them are Afghanistan and Iraq veterans who don’t realize that the Vietnam Veterans of America will never abandon them like we were. There are many Vietnam veterans who are not content with the manner in which their current service organization is providing help to veterans in Spokane. We have made a commitment to become the best service organization chapter in the country. We are innovative, goal-oriented and technologically proficient.
