Scott incident overblown

Regarding the Oct. 8 article “Democrats pull worker out of Bonner County charge harassment by Idaho Rep. Heather Scott’s supporters”: an unnamed campaign worker from an unnamed place is whisked away to an unnamed place because he claims being harassed, day and night, everywhere he goes, in two counties.

For good measure, Heather Scott’s opponent heaps on with a story about her 90-year-old mother-in-law being harassed in the Safeway parking lot by an armed Scott reporter, last August. The lady apparently didn’t think it important enough to even mention for three days or file a police report, nor did Scott’s opponent, until October.

So a 21-year-old Democratic operative trembles for his life and has to be removed from our area while a 90-year-old lady just goes about her business. Let’s hope law enforcement gets to the bottom of this. If the results are as I surmise they will be, Kate McAlister and her minion should be charged with filing false reports.
