What is wrong with this picture: over 900,000 people in Washington receiving SNAP benefits (‘When it comes to budgets, bottom lines don’t lie,’ Shawn Vestal, The Spokesman Review, April 29, 2018)?

Thanks to Shawn Vestal for speaking clearly about the current Farm Bill creating more hunger in America. Time for each of us to speak out against this widening of the gap between rich and poor. Call, write or meet with those who represent you in Congress: we want to end hunger in America and narrow the wealth gap, not increase them!

Remind them you also plan to vote this fall. Tell them it’s time for Congress to help create a prosperous country for all Americans.
