Public schools are the backbone of a successful community and strong economy. I am the product of public school, I was a public school teacher, and I send my three children to public school. That is why voting yes on the Schools and Libraries Bonds is the easiest choice I’ve ever made, especially since my tax rate will go down.

I was on the district’s Grade Level Configuration Committee two years ago, and it became very apparent to me, after listening to many experts from around the country, that our students would benefit greatly from the K-5, 6-8 model. By adding three new middle schools and replacing three additional middle schools, we will be able to accommodate this model, while also reducing our class size at the elementary level, which is best practice and mandated by the state.

The schools and libraries bonds are a historic partnership and show what great things can be accomplished when our city and school district work together.

Please join me in voting yes by November 6th for the Schools and Libraries Bonds to help keep Spokane the amazing place it is to live and raise a family!
