Justifying child abuse

In response to: “Not all immigrants are parents,” (Paul Hudson, Aug. 26, 2018):

I am saddened by those who are trying to justify child abuse by using the excuse that some adults bringing children across the Mexico/U.S. border have child abuse on their own minds. These people are few and far between. It is the duty of U.S. officials to be able to distinguish the true parents from the false and not to tar everyone with the same brush. There is NO excuse for abusing children.

That 500 have still to be reunited is disgusting. If hospitals can put bracelets on babies, surely the U.S. government can solve this problem. The fact that this was an INTENTIONAL action speaks to the weak moral fiber of those making such a decision! There is NO excuse for child abuse!
