President Eisenhower warned us about an out of control military industrial complex. We have had unending, undeclared wars for decades with consequences in every way, including many fatalities for someone’s profit.

Rachel Carson warned us about chemicals in the food chain and its consequences, particularly on the bird population. Lately we hear our bird count has dropped a huge amount for unexplained reasons.

Our informed expert weather researchers are warning us about climate change due largely to our heavy use of fossil fuels. These warnings are being ignored by “not an expert” legislators. Others that could stop or at least control these environmental conditions, EPA, are turning their heads.

In every one of these situations a lot of money is being made by the already very wealthy. Many of them have little or no concern for our environment. Their only real concern is more wealth at any cost. Wake up, Planet Earth. We are making our environment unable to support life.

Another warning , this time about our environment. Faster melting glaciers, warming oceans, increasing and more severe wild fires are not to be ignored warning signs. Legislatures, do what needs to be done now.
