Remember the picture of President Trump returning from Walter Reed Hospital and defiantly tearing off his face mask? Trump has failed to recommend wearing masks, despite the country facing all-time daily highs for confirmed cases. Previously, he stated that “No, I don’t take responsibility’ for the botched coronavirus testing rollout. Trump did not want to push for more testing because it might lead to higher numbers of confirmed cases. He does not listen to the U.S. experts on infectious diseases, especially Dr. Fauci. Instead, he listens to a doctor who has no experience with infectious diseases and is a proponent of herd immunity.

So, what is a ‘lame duck’ president to do? He will continue to do exactly what he has already done, nothing but spreading lies about the coronavirus. 92,599 confirmed new U.S. cases on November 3rd is not ‘turning the corner.’ The incredibly sad fact is that the people following the pied piper President Trump are being hit the worst. Reports from Associated Press said that “the data available from Johns Hopkins and other tracking sites shows that 93% of the counties in rural states like Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin had the worst rates of coronavirus infection.” In fact, they voted overwhelmingly for Trump.

Meanwhile in Moscow, Trump’s ‘uncle’ Vladimir Putin issued a directive on October 27th requiring all Russians to wear face masks in order to help curb the second wave of Covid-19 hitting Russia.
