The U.S. clinched a quarterfinal berth in the World Hockey Championships by beating the Czech Republic 4-2 for its third straight victory in pool B.

Pat Jablonski, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ third-string goalie, had another outstanding game for the Americans.

Team USA, made up mostly of minorleague and college players, has to play Sweden and Finland in the round-robin.
