Malinda Lynch scored 10 of her 16 points during a 21-9 second-half run that led Washington to a 68-59 victory over Boise State in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Seattle on Thursday night.

With the score tied at 34, 5 minutes into the second half, Lynch opened Washington’s decisive run with a put-back, and added two more rebound baskets and a pair of short jumpers over the next 11 minutes.

Laure Savasta scored 25 points as Washington improved to 4-5. Kali Perry and Michelle Perry each scored 10 points as Boise State lost its fifth consecutive game and fell to 2-7.

There were six ties and four lead changes before Savasta scored every Washington point during a 7-0 run late in the first half that gave the Huskies a 29-28 halftime lead.

Boise State led briefly in the second half and tied the game for the final time at 34-34.

Portland 64, Montana 56

Laura Sale had 26 points and six steals as the host Pilots (7-2) rallied to down the previously unbeaten Lady Griz (6-1).

Montana (6-1) took a seven-point lead on a layup by Malia Kipp with 8:41 left in the game. Sale then scored 14 points in an 18-3 run that gave Portland the lead for good.
