Two men with ties to the Spokane chapter of the Hells Angels face felony and assault charges in King County after a robbery victim was hit in the head with a hammer.

Forrest Heaton, 25, of Newport, Wash., and Timothy P. Dougherty, 46, who currently lives in the Seattle area, were arrested Friday by King County Police.

Their arrests came after a man who lives near Enumclaw, Wash., told police he was hit with a hammer and had his Harley Davidson motorcycle stolen by two men.

The stolen motorcycle was found on a flatbed truck driven by the suspects and stopped by King County police a short distance from where the assault occurred, authorities said.

Heaton and Dougherty were both booked into the King County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree assault, a police spokesman said.

Heaton was being held Tuesday under $100,000 bond. Dougherty was released the day after his arrest, the spokesman said.

The filing of formal charges is being reviewed by the King County prosecutor’s office, said spokesman Dan Donohoe.
