Wind Wins This Round
The America’s Cup trials hit the doldrums when all four races were abandoned because the wind died.
Just two days earlier, the opening races of the third round-robin were abandoned because of 25-knot winds and rough seas during a drenching winter storm.
Thursday marked the ninth day since the regatta started Jan. 12 that some or all races have been abandoned because of light wind, rough conditions or fog.
