1:30 p.m. Senate Hearing Rm. 1, J.A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Law and Justice Committee public hearing on SB5759, authorizing judges to impose longer sentences on persons convicted of obstructing legal abortions, and SB5488, allowing judges to impose increased sentences on persons convicted of domestic violence.

Wednesday, Feb. 22

1:30 p.m. House Hearing Rm. E, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Corrections Committee public hearing on HB1615, increasing deductions from inmate wages for crime victims’ compensation.

1:30 p.m. House Hearing Rm. A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Law and Justice Committee public hearing on HB1815, holding parents liable when their kids damage hotel rooms.

Thursday, Feb. 23

8 a.m. House Hearing Rm. D, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Capital Budget Committee public hearing on HB1307, eliminating the built in percentage for art in state construction projects, and HB1135, eliminating prisons and school facilities from public art requirements.

Friday, Feb. 24

8 a.m. House Hearing Rm. A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Law and Justice Committee public hearing on HB1423, limiting lawsuit awards for noneconomic damages to $500,000.
