The National Rifle Association has awarded $11,100 in grants for firearms education and recreational shooting programs in Washington, officials said.

The money will be given to 10 clubs. The Spokane-based Inland Northwest Wildlife Council will receive $2,160 to help purchase a trailer to carry NRA firearms training and hunter education course materials.

The Tri-Cities Shooting Association will receive $1,000 to help build a covered firing line.

The Eastern Washington Practical Shooters Assoc., will receive $1,000 to purchase spotting scopes for a 4-H junior shooting program.
