Conference Targets At-Risk Youth
About 2,000 educators from the Northwest and Canada are expected to come to Spokane in the next few days for a conference on at-risk youth.
The conference, sponsored by the Educational Service District 101 of Spokane and the North Central Educational Service District of Wenatchee, will last from today until Friday.
The conference will feature three keynote speakers and 180 sessions on topics from infant education to building safer schools.
These sessions are closed to the public. Parents are invited to the one open session, “Parenting Skills for Practically Perfect Parents,” at 7 p.m. tonight at the Sheraton Grand Ballroom.
