Westinghouse Loss Drops To $107 Million

Westinghouse Electric Corp. reported Thursday that its fourthquarter losses narrowed to $107 million despite taking $246 million in charges to cover pension and restructuring costs.

The loss, which amounted to 30 cents a share, compared with a loss of $478 million, or $1.38 per share, in the fourth quarter of 1993. Sales rose to $2.77 billion from $2.64 billion.

For all of 1994, Westinghouse earned $77 million, or 7 cents a share. That compared with a loss of $326 million, or $1.07 per share, in 1993. Sales fell to $8.85 billion from $8.88 billion in 1993.
