The latest evidence came Tuesday when police arrested Jose Santacruz Londono, considered No. 3 in the hierarchy of the cartel, which supplies 80 percent of the world’s cocaine.

Authorities found Bellini’s name and telephone number in the directory of a pocket computer confiscated from Santacruz.
