Portland Company Expands To Spokane

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Portland company plans to begin construction next week on a 12,000-square-foot building that will house its Spokane division, Inland Northwest Metallurgical Services Inc.

Stack Heat Treaters, a supplier of commercial vacuum, endothermic and aluminum heat treating systems, will build the new plant on a 2.5-acre site in the Spokane Industrial Park. Panco Construction is the building contractor.

Inland Northwest Metallurgical will employ 10 people in Spokane, according to the Spokane Area Economic Development Council, which helped bring the company to Spokane.

A ground-breaking ceremony has been scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the plant site.
