Huggins Given Incentives

Details of Cincinnati basketball coach Bob Huggins’ new contract were revealed, showing he could receive up to $250,000 extra if the Bearcats win the NCAA championship.

Huggins, who signed the 10-year extention Thursday, will earn $420,000 annually in salary, bonuses and annuities. Perks include a university-paid country club membership and use of a car, $125,000 in guaranteed revenues from radio and television contracts and an annual bonus of $50,000 for remaining at the university.

Minnesota basketball coach Clem Haskins was released from the hospital after having angioplasty and expects to be back at work soon.

Haskins, 52, underwent the procedure at the University of Minnesota Hospital on Sunday after complaining of chest pains.
