Bengals Look To The East

Compiled From Wire Services

Cincinnati Bengals president Mike Brown said he will meet with Baltimore officials who are trying to bring an NFL team to their city.

“You meet with people,” Brown said. “They size you up, I size them up.”

Brown said he is seriously considering Baltimore, The Cincinnati Enquirer said.

William Hackett, 71, a former Ohio State All-American and a co-founder of the Bengals, died in London, Ohio, following a brief illness.

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed former Houston receiver Ernest Givins, an unrestricted free agent, who is the leading receiver in Oilers history with 542 receptions for 7,935 yards.
