Three Injured In Two-Car Collision

From Staff And Wire Reports

A two-car accident in the Spokane Valley sent three Spokane residents to the hospital with minor injuries early Saturday morning.

Darla Runnion pulled her pickup out of the 7-11 convenience store parking lot at 2122 N. Pines and collided with a car, driven by Allison Converse.

Injured were Converse, 28, Shawn Ghorst, 25, and Robert LaFountain, 27.

Converse suffered a sprained ankle and Ghorst, a passenger in Converse’s 1979 Oldsmobile, broke his nose. LaFountain, a passenger in Runnion’s 1978 Ford pickup, injured his shoulder. All three were taken to Valley Hospital and Medical Center.

LaFountain was northbound on Pines when Runnion pulled out of the lot, attempting to go south.
