Eastern Washington sprinter Joyce Rainwater was among the four athletes chosen as Big Sky Conference outdoor track and field athletes of the week.

The Big Sky also honored Idaho sprinter and hurdler Paul Thompson.

Rainwater, a senior, met NCAA provisional qualifying standards in the 100 meters and set a school record at 11.55 seconds in the Tri-City Sports Festival. Rainwater also anchored the winning 400-meter relay to a school-record 46.94.

Thompson ran a 52.13 in the intermediate hurdles at the Stanford Relays last weekend.
