Post Falls High Has New Principal

Post Falls High School will have a new principal next fall. The school district has hired John Billetz, now assistant principal at Minico High School in Minidoka, Idaho, to replace Principal Warren Toney.

Toney had resigned earlier this year, but is serving until the end of the school year.

Billetz, 44, was principal of Burley High School for six years, and was the most experienced of the 14 job candidates a committee reviewed.

The nine-member committee included staff, parents and a student, said assistant superintendent Jerry Keane.

Keane described Billetz as a highly motivated, positive person with a good sense of humor.

He holds a master’s degree and education specialist degree from Idaho State University.
