Bullets Fired Into House Misses Woman

From Staff And Wire Reports

A woman narrowly escaped being hit by one of two bullets that were fired into her house Sunday night by a man shooting from a nearby parking lot.

The woman was in her bathroom in the 2400 block of North Freya when two bullets hit the house about 10:20 p.m., according to a statement by the Spokane Police Department.

One slug lodged in a building stud; the other went through an outside wall and then through a bedroom wall.

A witness told police the man with the gun was in the parking lot of a church at Freya and Jackson. After firing at the woman’s house, he fired three more shots west toward Ferrall Street.

Police hadn’t located the suspect and did not release his name.
