Bodies Of Canoeists Found In Reservoir

From Staff And Wire Reports

Divers have found the bodies of two Boise men who drowned in Cascade Reservoir, apparently after their canoe overturned.

Steven Lee Ward, 21, and Iker Martin Goitiandia, 19, were last seen alive at 9:30 p.m. Monday, when they told friends they were going canoeing.

Volunteer divers, working with a scent dog, discovered the drowning victims on Thursday.

Dressed in work clothes and boots, neither man was wearing a life vest when they fell in.

The water at Cascade Reservoir is between 38 and 42 degrees.
