‘, Minister’ Actor Dies Of Cancer At 68

Compiled From Wire Services

Actor Paul Eddington, who entertained audiences around the world as a bumbling politician in the TV satire “Yes, Minister,” has died of cancer, a friend said Sunday. He was 68.

The tall, debonair Eddington achieved international success in the 1970s with the TV series “The Good Life.”

But it was the hit comedy series “Yes, Minister,” later called “Yes, Prime Minister,” in the 1980s that brought Eddington TV stardom.
