Cda Firm Introduces Breathing Device

From Staff And Wire Reports

A new medical device designed to improve breathing is available in the Inland Northwest.

The Mist Assist is called an inspirator, which injects medication into a patient’s lungs with more efficiency than a traditional inhalator, said Ken Frejlach of U.S. Concepts Int. in Coeur d’Alene.

U.S. Concepts markets this new device for Syncom Pharmaceuticals Inc. Frejlach says the company has received calls from around the region about the device.

“With the controversy over the field burning here, there’s been a lot of interest,” he said. “Too much medication gets caught up in the throat and mouth area when inhaling. This device gets the medication deep into the lungs.”

The hand-held Mist Assist will only be available through selected local pharmacies at this point, but Frejlach expects major medical wholesalers to catch on to the product soon. The product is available nationwide through other distributors like U.S. Concepts, he said.
