Compiled From Wire Services

An 8-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting as he played in a front yard during a family party, police said.

The two gunmen were aiming for three men standing on a sidewalk, but one bullet struck Victor Neal in the head as he played with some other children Saturday night, said sheriff’s Deputy Carrie Stewart.

Victor died early Sunday at a hospital.

No one else was injured and no arrests had been made Sunday.
