The Coeur d’Alene Cultural Center will celebrate its opening starting at noon today with arts, crafts, singing, dancing and food in City Park.

The Rotary Bandshell will feature rock and roll band Out of Control, singer Marla Kilgore, Suzuki string students, Sherry Weizel and her Middle Eastern dancers and other performers.

The center will feature exhibits of dried flowers, primitive pottery, jewelry, beadwork, paintings and prints, glass, dolls, tie-dyed shirts, wood and Indian artifacts.

Lake City Gymnastics will perform throughout the afternoon in the park.

Food vendors will offer everything from Caribbean to Mediterranean fare. Everything but the food is free.
