Low-Cost Apartments Coming For Cda Seniors

From Staff And Wire Reports

Some Coeur d’Alene senior citizens will get a break in housing costs as early as next summer.

Groundbreaking for the Lake Wood Ranch Apartments, an 80-unit senior apartment complex, will be held next week. The North Idaho Community Action Agency is undertaking the complex. It will be located on North Fourth Street. Rents are to range from $175 to $450 per month.

One- and two-bedroom units will be offered, as well as a community building and a central parkland. Garages will be available at an additional cost.

Construction should be complete by mid-summer of next year. Funding is through the Idaho Housing Agency and the HOME Program, combined with private mortgages.

Applicants can call 664-3114 for more information.
