Two Die, 100 Injured Is Subway Car Fire

A fire in a subway car killed two people and injured 100 others in Baku, the Azerbaijani capital, police and news reports said.

Baku police chief Mageram Aliev told national television the car caught fire while it was inside a tunnel.

The ITAR-Tass news agency said it was caused by a malfunction of the car’s electrical system.
