WSU Sets Enrollment Record

Washington State University enrolled a record number of students for the fall semester at its main campus and three branches.

The enrollment after 10 days of classes stands at 19,598 students, an increase of 185 students from a year ago.

In nearby Moscow, the University of Idaho reported 11,727 students, which is virtually the same number as 1994.

The main UI campus has 10,000 students. Other students are taking classes at university instructional centers in several Idaho cities, including Coeur d’Alene.

At Pullman, the main WSU campus has 17,070 students. The branches include Spokane with 352 students, Vancouver with 957 and Tri-Cities with 624. The Spokane branch has 12 fewer students than a year ago.
