Both FBI Director Louis Freeh and security guard Richard Jewell are expected to testify when a Senate Judiciary subcommittee begins hearings next week into the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.

The first one-day hearing, tentatively set for Dec. 10, will be held by the subcommittee on terrorism, technology and government information, which is chaired by Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa.

Specter said he will examine how the FBI investigation was conducted, the manner in which Jewell was questioned and how information was leaked to the media identifying Jewell as a focus of the investigation.

Federal authorities have since cleared Jewell of any role in the July 27 bombing that killed one person and injured more than 100 people.
