Man Accused Of Trying To Bribe Police Officers

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man seen urinating in a downtown alley ended up in jail, charged with trying to avoid arrest by bribing two Spokane Police officers.

Kevin Ray Bowling, 38, was near 100 S. Madison Saturday night when two officers patrolling the area saw him next to his car.

Searching the car after finding he had two outstanding warrants, the officers discovered four small bags of marijuana, a police spokesman said.

He reportedly offered them $200 to let him go. Bowling, who gave an address of 3024 E. 30th, spent the night in jail.
