Arizona At Washington State
Tipoff: The Cougars (14-9 overall and 6-8 Pac-10) try to snap a 21-game losing streak to 11th-ranked Wildcats (21-5 and 10-4). Tipoff is set for 7:30 at Friel Court.
At a glance: This is the rematch WSU fans and players have eagerly awaited since early last March when Arizona came in and stole away with a 114-111 double-overtime victory that was greatly influence by a late technical foul called against the Cougars after a fan threw debris on the floor. The Wildcats beat the Cougars 96-78 in Tucson, Ariz., earlier this year. Ben Davis pretty much had his way with WSU’s Mark Hendrickson in that incredibly physical matchup.
Key players: Arizona - Ben Davis 14.4 ppg, 9.6 rpg; Miles Simon 12.3 ppg; Reggie Geary 10.2 ppg, 6.8 apg. WSU Isaac Fontaine 18.2 ppg, 6.0; Mark Hendrickson 16.1 ppg, 9.6 rpg; Donminic Ellison 11.5 ppg, 5.2 apg.
TV/Radio: Prime Sports Northwest, 7:30 p.m.; KXLY (920 AM) Spokane and other stations on the Cougar network, with Bud Nameck, 7 p.m.
