Customer Of Bank Robbed At Knifepoint

A Deer Park woman was robbed at knifepoint in Spokane after leaving a downtown bank, police said.

The 25-year-old victim was robbed at 10 a.m. Saturday near the West One Bank branch on West Riverside, according to police.

The victim, whose name was not released, went to the branch to cash a check. Afterward, she told police she was followed by a man and a woman who had been sitting outside.

Moments later, the woman grabbed the victim by the hair and demanded money. When the victim resisted, the robber grabbed her by the throat and displayed an eight-inch knife with a serrated blade, police said.

The thieves fled after taking the victim’s purse.

The female robber was described as a white woman in her early 30s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, 120 pounds. She had shoulder-length bleached blonde hair.

The man was black, about 35, 6 feet 2 inches tall, and thin. , DataTimes
