Mead High Crowns Its Lilac Princess

The seventh Lilac Princess was crowned Wednesday at Mead High School.

Stephanie Atwood, 17, competed with four other girls for the title. She’s the daughter of Randy and Glenda Atwood.

Atwood is a senior who plays volleyball, takes advanced leadership classes and has won a Chase Youth Award for leadership. She plans to attend Eastern Washington University and study elementary education.

Once all 12 princesses are chosen, they will gather at Shadle Park High School on April 13 for coronation of the Lilac Queen. , DataTimes
