Cincinnati, Kansas, Wake Forest and Utah stayed first through fourth. Arizona moved up eight spots after its victory over then-No. 7 North Carolina in the Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic to take over No. 11. Other Pac-10 teams include UCLA at No. 13 and Stanford at No. 21. Tulsa is next at No. 22.

With an all-new lineup of three sophomores, a freshman and a junior college transfer, Louisiana Tech has zipped to a 5-0 women’s basketball start that includes a victory over defending national champion Tennessee and a road win over Washington.

That opened some eyes to a team that was supposed to be rebuilding and Tech jumped five places to No. 6 Monday in The Associated Press women’s poll.

Stanford and Georgia remained 1-2, with Stanford a unanimous choice for the second straight week.
