Five Injured In Bombing
Five people were injured when a bomb exploded in a restaurant in central Romania, a police officer said Saturday.
No one has claimed responsibility for the bomb. The device exploded Friday in a restaurant owned by a Turk near a busy national highway, about eight miles south of the Transylvanian city of Sibiu, said Police Col. Petre Albu.
The bomb was placed in a men’s restroom.
The owner’s wife, who suffered multiple fractures, was the most seriously injured person.
Bombs and terrorism are virtually unknown in this former Communist country.
