Magazine: Multiple Democrat Donors Gave Dnc Address

Associated Press

Federal Election Commission records list multiple individual and corporate donors to the Democratic Party at the same Capitol Hill address, a published report released Saturday said.

The address - 430 South Capitol St., Washington, D.C. - is the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee.

The story, in the Nov. 4 issues of U.S. News & World Report, comes in the wake of questions about possible foreign contributions to the Clinton re-election campaign.

U.S. News said the Capitol Street address was listed by 27 individuals and 10 corporations that gave nearly $300,000 to the Democrats.

FEC rules require the committee to make its best effort to include correct addresses and occupations of all contributors.

DNC spokeswoman Amy Weiss Tobe attributed the repetition of addresses to “computer default error” and mistakes made by those entering the data.
