Gu, Whitworth Rated Among Best
Gonzaga University and Whitworth College ranked among the West’s best regional universities and colleges in an annual U.S. News & World Report survey.
Gonzaga was rated sixth and Whitworth was rated 10th in the magazine’s America’s Best Colleges Survey for 1997, which landed on newsstands Monday.
The ratings are based on 2,730 surveys of college presidents, deans and admissions directors.
Universities were scored on academic reputation, student selectivity, faculty resources, financial resources, retention rank and alumni giving rank.
Trinity University in Texas was awarded the top rating.
