Tori Mills found the best way to improve her pitching record to 3-0.

Mills hit a grand slam in the seventh Tuesday to rally visiting Central Valley (3-0) over Ferris 10-5 in a Greater Spokane League softball game.

Leann Tumlinson’s three-run homer in the fourth put the Saxons (0-2) ahead 5-3.

Sarah Babin’s bases-clearing triple in the seventh lifted the Tigers (1-2) over the visiting Indians (0-3) at Jack Blair Memorial Field.

NC drew 14 walks and led 11-4 after four, but didn’t have a hit after the third. Tigers pitcher Katie Marquess, who relieved in the first, also homered in the first.
