Principal Admits Filming Cheerleaders
A high school principal pleaded no contest Monday to videotaping cheerleaders as they changed clothes for a beach party at his home.
Walter Conte, 51, of Mentor, could get up to 2-1/2 years in prison at sentencing May 12 on charges including voyeurism and possession of a two-way mirror.
The principal of Brush High School was accused of videotaping 16 cheerleaders he had invited to his home on Lake Erie in September.
The girls noticed a red light in a bathroom mirror and told their parents. Police found videotaping equipment behind the mirror.
Conte was suspended as principal after his arrest.
