Man Jumps From Hotel But Misses Pool, Dies

A guest jumped from the fourth floor of a burning hotel in Bangkok on Sunday but died when he missed the swimming pool.

Radio 100 said five people were injured in the fire, which started in a third-floor room at the New Peninsula Hotel.

Most of the hotel guests were from South Asian countries, including the dead man, 30-year-old Moondy Masalake of Sri Lanka.
