Man Bites Condom, Not Pickle

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man who claims he found a rolled up condom when he bit into a Big Mac is suing a McDonald’s restaurant, saying the discovery made him violently ill.

Jeff Bolling is seeking unspecified punitive damages or “exemplary fines” from the McDonald’s and its parent company, CLP Corp. The company and the franchise’s management deny any wrongdoing.

In the lawsuit, Bolling claims he became violently ill and suffered extreme emotional distress after finding the condom in the sandwich on Oct. 6, 1995, after going through a drive-through window. He said he tried to bite through what he thought was a pickle several times, took off the bun and saw a condom.

Police said the condom was not packaged, but in a rolled-up condition as it would appear when new.

CLP attorney Martin Bloom declined to comment on how the condom got into the hamburger but said the restaurant “had absolutely nothing to do with it.”
