Center Jelani McCoy, suspended more than two months ago, has been partially reinstated to the UCLA basketball team, the school said.

McCoy, a 6-foot-9-1/2 junior, and swingman Kris Johnson were suspended for violation of athletic department policies and team rules on Sept. 29.

Johnson, a senior, was reinstated for practice on Nov. 17.

McCoy will be allowed to participate in practice and other team functions immediately, the school said. He has not been reinstated for games. That decision will be made at a later date. The same continues to hold true for Johnson.
