Public Disclosure Commission To Offer Workshop On Procedures

From Staff And Wire Reports

Thinking about running for election next year?

How about forming a group to support or oppose a ballot measure or to fight for or against a candidate?

The state Public Disclosure Commission would like you to remember there are laws that govern how you raise and spend money in a campaign.

The commission is holding a campaign disclosure workshop Thursday evening to explain how to register as a candidate or political committee, file campaign reports and properly identify your campaign ads. Doing any of those things improperly can get you a warning or a fine from the commission.

The free session will start at 6 p.m. at the Educational Service District 101 Bryant Center, 910 N. Ash. , DataTimes
