Martha Stewart Gets Control Of Magazine, Show

Compiled From Wire Services

Martha Stewart, who turned her tips on gracious living in the 1990s into a $200 million media empire, on Tuesday took control of her namesake magazine and TV series.

Stewart bought out most of founding partner Time Inc.’s stake in Martha Stewart Living magazine, her syndicated TV show and some book publishing operations.

Neither side would disclose the price, although Time keeps a stake of less than 20 percent in all of her ventures. They’re now part of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia LLC, and she is the chairman.
